At the Sapir Academic College the architects sought
to implement a comprehensive planning policy based
on a layout of buildings connected by shaded internal
streets, so to provide a climate solution for the college
which is located in the north of the Negev desert.

The Student Club and classroom wing was
built around an internal ‟street” that divides the building
into two units: a double-story student club, and a four-
story classroom wing. In contrast, in the Academic
Administration building (completed in 2006) the internal
street principle was abandoned and it was designed as a
                                       single unit.
