1950s  Culture Houses

       Agricultural Research Station, Beit Dagan, 1955;
       Moshav Beit Herut; Moshav Beit Hanan

                                         During the first half of the 1950s, the firm planned a
                                         number of culture houses for the labor settlements.
                                         Prominent among these are the culture houses at the
                                         Agriculture Research Station Beit Dagan and in Moshav
                                         Beit Herut. The two buildings share similar features:
                                         both are situated at the edge of paved squares and have
                                         slanted roofs. The connection between the buildings and
                                         their surrounding is enhanced via windows on the side
                                         walls of the halls, and the covered balconies that extend
                                         around them. In Beit Dagan the hall has wide windows that
                                         open to the south, and an internal courtyard enclosed in a
                                         type of vestibule with covered pillars. Stained glasswork
                                         was incorporated in a number of the apertures.
